Using cognitive science to support children’s learning

This article grew out of an exciting professional development opportunity and a personal interest in the use of cognitive science to support children’s learning. As a primary RE lead, Deborah was given the opportunity to be part of the Culham St Gabriel’s Pilot Leadership Programme; this gave her the chance to reflect upon, expand and progress her RE leadership skills and has been invaluable in developing her confidence in this area. The pilot focuses on four areas of leadership, and the following work evolved from Deborah’s engagement with the research aspect of the course.
